Haihao Group Ships MSS SP-97 Flanged Branch Fittings to UAE
Haihao Group has completed the production and shipment of a large batch of MSS SP-97 flanged branch fittings for a customer in the UAE. The order covers main pipe sizes from 4″ to 42″, with a consistent 1.5″ branch size, and includes RF and RTJ configurations in Class 150, 300 and 600.
What makes this order notable is not simply the range of sizes. The customer required several material grades, wall combinations and face configurations within the same project, including ASTM A105, A350 LF2 Class 1, A182 F316/F316L and A182 F11-2.
Order Range at a Glance
The supplied flanged branch fittings include:
Main sizes from 4″ to 42″
Branch size: 1.5″
Pressure classes: 150, 300 and 600
Flange faces: RF and RTJ
Standard: MSS SP-97 with ASME B16.5 flange requirements
Materials: A105, A350 LF2 Class 1, A182 F316/F316L and A182 F11-2
Lengths: 150 mm, 200 mm and 250 mm
Main pipe wall specifications ranging from SCH20 to 34.93 mm
Branch wall specifications including SCH40S, SCH80 and SCH160
This combination required the production team to manage different material and dimensional requirements without losing consistency between the branch connection and the flange end.

Four Material Grades for Different Piping Conditions
The order includes several material families rather than relying on a single grade.
ASTM A105 is used for carbon steel applications, including Class 150 and Class 300 configurations. The order also includes ASTM A350 LF2 Class 1, a low-temperature carbon steel grade selected for applications where low-temperature mechanical performance is required.
For corrosion-resistant service, the customer specified ASTM A182 F316/F316L, including dual-grade material. These stainless steel fittings appear in both RF Class 300 and RTJ Class 600 configurations.
The order also contains ASTM A182 F11 Class 2, an alloy steel grade used for elevated-temperature piping applications.
This material mix gives the shipment a much broader engineering scope than a standard single-grade fitting order.
RF and RTJ Configurations
The UAE project includes both RF and RTJ flanged branch fittings.
The RF configurations are supplied across Class 150 and Class 300 applications, while the RTJ versions are mainly specified for Class 600 service. The sealing face is therefore matched to the pressure class and the customer’s piping design rather than treated as a cosmetic variation.
The flange dimensions are specified according to ASME B16.5, while the branch fitting itself is manufactured to MSS SP-97 requirements. This combination is important when the fitting must connect directly with a standardized flange assembly.
From 4-Inch to 42-Inch Main Lines
Another feature of this shipment is the unusually wide size range.
The smallest listed main connection is 4″ × 1.5″, while the largest is 42″ × 1.5″. Several large-diameter configurations use heavier wall specifications, such as 25.40 mm and 34.93 mm, together with SCH80 or SCH160 branch requirements.
For large pipe headers, dimensional matching becomes particularly important. The fitting must correspond with the run pipe geometry while maintaining the specified branch size and flange connection.
Haihao Group therefore treats the main size, branch size, wall thickness, flange class and facing as one complete specification during production.
Different Lengths for Project Installation
Most items in this shipment have a specified length of 150 mm, but the order also includes 200 mm and 250 mm versions.
For example, several 10″, 14″, 16″, 20″ and 24″ configurations require a 200 mm length, while selected 30″ stainless steel configurations require 200 mm or 250 mm.
These differences may appear minor on a purchasing list, but they can affect installation space and connection geometry. Manufacturing according to the customer’s exact length requirement avoids unnecessary field modification.
Manufacturing Control for a Mixed Specification Order
A large multi-specification order requires more than producing the fittings to a common pattern.
Haihao Group controls material identification, dimensions, branch geometry, flange configuration, pressure class and product marking according to the individual line item. Particular attention is given to maintaining traceability when carbon steel, low-temperature steel, stainless steel and alloy steel products are manufactured within the same order.
The result is a batch of MSS SP-97 flanged branch fittings configured for different piping classes while maintaining the customer’s specified dimensions and materials.
