How to remove rust on stainless steel flange?

1: Before derusting, first remove all visible dirt on the surface, and then use solvent or cleaning agent to remove oil.

2: Use a tungsten steel blade to remove the rust on the largest and simplest surface or object surface.

3: Use scraper and wire brush to remove rust at corners.

4: Remove welding slag and other protrusions and burrs with a file.

5: Clean thoroughly with emery cloth and wire brush.

6: Clean the tablecloth with a clean one, or dip the tablecloth with solvent for cleaning and timely apply the primer.

7: Note that the tough coating that has not lost service can be preserved, and the old paint surface shall be roughened with emery cloth, the defect of the coating shall be polished into axe shape, and the paint shall be painted directly after cleaning.

8: Stainless steel flange shall be treated with special stainless steel whitening solution. If there is no such solution and it is possible not to damage the workpiece, 10-20% nitric acid and 5% phosphoric acid can be used for soaking for 4 hours, which can be reduced.
