Haihao Group Ships ASME B16.20 Spiral Wound Gaskets to Russian Industrial Client
A shipment of flange gaskets has left our warehouse, heading to an industrial client in Russia. The order covers two sizes of ASME B16.20 spiral wound gaskets, both specified for ANSI 300 flanges and built with graphite filler and SS304 winding strip.

The two line items are simple on paper but sit at opposite ends of the piping scale. One ASME B16.20 spiral wound gasket is sized DN 1″ for small-bore process connections, while the other is DN 10″ for larger pipeline flanges. Both are manufactured to Type R — the basic style without inner or outer rings – which keeps the gasket profile slim and fits standard raised face flanges where radial space is tight.

ASME B16.20 Type R graphite spiral wound gaskets with SS304 winding
For the sealing construction, we used flexible graphite as the filler and SS304 stainless steel for the winding strip. Graphite handles a wide temperature range and resists most process fluids, while the SS304 winding gives the gasket mechanical strength and recovery under bolt load. This pairing is a common choice for oil, gas, petrochemical and steam piping, and it holds up well across the seasonal temperature swings typical of Russian industrial sites.
Every ASME B16.20 spiral wound gasket in this order was checked for outer diameter, inner diameter and winding thickness before packing. We also verified that the graphite filler was evenly distributed and that the SS304 winding had no gaps or loose ends. Each gasket was wrapped individually, then boxed with size and pressure-class labels so the client’s maintenance team can pick the right part quickly during flange assembly.
Because the order was small but precision-sensitive, we paid extra attention to transit protection. Spiral wound gaskets are vulnerable to edge damage, so we layered them with corrugated separators and fixed the boxes to pallets to prevent shifting. The goods are now on their way to the Russian client, ready for installation.
Haihao Group supplies ASME B16.20 spiral wound gasket products in Type R, Type RIR (with inner ring) and Type RCG (with inner and outer rings), across ANSI 150 through ANSI 2500 pressure classes. We can match graphite, PTFE or mica filler with SS304, SS316 or other winding materials to your fluid and temperature conditions.
If you need spiral wound gaskets for a maintenance shutdown or a new piping project, send us your flange schedule. We will confirm the exact gasket style, size and material, and provide a quotation with lead time.
